Doesn't Play Well With Others

Oh Dear. He's at it again. Released in January 2020, this album continues to plow the lonely furrow of an isolated genius (who writes this stuff ??? Oh. That'd be...me :) - pinch of salt optional). Don't believe what you read, I occasionally play well with others. Occasionally.

The album contains some solid rocking toe tappers, a few sing-a-longs and the occasional heartbreaker. Play it loud.

Note - this album is available on CD from the author!

Released in February 2017, this album continues to showcase the versatility of the songwriter. You like Glam Rock? You got it. Fancy a bit of reggae. It's here. You like Americana, Indie Pop, German Techno? You need not look any further.

As The Sunflower Turns It's Face Towards The Sun

Variety is the spice of life. On this album I tackled several genres (it's kinda what I do) and there's no real definitive description I can use here for this body of work with the probable exception of the word 'diverse'. The influences here which I take note on many months after it's release, because I didn't have any blueprint during the writing or recording, appear to be many. I hear John Prine in 'Going For A Drive'. Is that The Shadows or Duane Eddy DNA I can hear in 'The Man Who Couldn't Get Away'? On reflection I can get a sense of the Rolling Stones in the title track, but then maybe The Beatles in it's second incarnation that closes the record. Anyways! Make of it what you will. All played and recorded by myself, this is 'Sunflower'.
