On this album I tackled several genres (it's kinda what I do) and there's no real definitive description I can use here for this body of work with the probable exception of the word 'diverse'. The influences here which I take note on many months after it's release, because I didn't have any blueprint during the writing or recording, appear to be many. I hear John Prine in 'Going For A Drive'. Is that The Shadows or Duane Eddy DNA I can hear in 'The Man Who Couldn't Get Away'? On reflection I can get a sense of the Rolling Stones in the title track, but then maybe The Beatles in it's second incarnation that closes the record. Anyways! Make of it what you will. All played and recorded by myself, this is 'Sunflower'.
