There's so much sadness connected to the life of Hank Williams. He died in tragic circumstances at just 29 years of age. In all honesty, he looked like a man twice his age, such were the impacts of a life lived at high speed. However, his songs live on.
I felt Hank deserved a tribute album but after recording a couple of his songs (another one appears in this set) I questioned if the poor man deserved a tribute album by me!
Much like a couple of the other tracks here, I put a simple arrangement together, and yet again used the Gretsch Electromatic which has such a lovely tone, to do the guitar parts.
