I became a huge fan of Prime after resisting the urge to jump in for probably twenty years or more. When I did eventually give in and started connecting with Prime both on record and at live performances, I'm SO glad I did.
One of 'Americana's' songwriters, long before it was known as Americana. Of course, JP had a huge affinity to Ireland (his wife Fiona of course is from this island) and he'd made a home from home for himself in Kinvarra. Tragically, as a man with a compromised immunity situation (he'd had cancer twice) he was taken from the world by Covid in April 2020. I had front row centre tickets for his next Irish show (due to be at the National Concert Hall in August of that year).
